Fulfillment tips

Lift your spirits to a great day everyday.

Driving your car, grocery shopping, working at the computer. Etc.  - the daily tasks that can ‘drone’ us and even numb us. It’s a natural in many of our lives to get lost in the daily routine that can end up bogging you down and losing precious time appreciating life and living to its fullest.

Here are some tips to jump out the daily routine and remind yourself to live each day to the fullest.

Here’s the best and most fundamental.

Ask yourself the question then exercise. Let’s make the question simple. “How can I live a more fulfilled life”. Ask that question in a very deliberative way then go exercise.

There are two ways this can help. If you exercise by playing a aport such as basketball, tennis or soccer then use the time to go mindless and focus just on the game. Your subconscious is a machine in of itself helping solve both mental and emotional problems being left alone especially focusing on something intensely.

If you’re a loner ‘exerciser’ like swimming, jogging, yoga, hiking, etc. then there’s a point in the exercise where your body goes into its machine mode. You no longer have to struggle with the exercise as your body takes over the repetition of the movements. That’s when you can detach and focus on the question. With the endorphins cooking and blood flowing through your body and brain, enlightenment becomes a natural phenomenon. And focusing on the question of fulfillment, the enlightenment starts flowing.

Ask yourself the question immediately when you wake up. Sounds a lot easier than it sounds. Try posting the question on your iPhone daily reminders so you never forget. Even change the questions. “How do I become greater than myself today?”. “How can I make my day the best ever?” Having it written down and posted right in front of your face is hard to ignore and makes a great reminder of what’s important.

Go on vacation. Doesn’t have to be a 7-day Caribbean cruise. It could be a campout on the weekend or even renting a hotel room in your own city. But, the point is to physically get out of your routine and environment. Those two physical changes shock the system to be more aware thus more aware of yourself, your loved ones and what’s really important.

Spend some time with old friends. Schedule a lunch, happy hour, dinner, Skype call or whatever. Go down memory lane that will surely get you laughing, smiling and appreciating those times in your life that were important that then reminds you of what is important.

Think of some of your most cherished, deepest and gripping moments. It may stir some hard emotions but can help immensely. And I’m not talking about a divorce or a fight. If you think about the day your mother or father died, it can jerk your emotional chain in a heartbeat and make you appreciate life in an instance. If you think about the day your child was born then the same happens but from the other side of life’s perspective.

Also pick some of the most simple times such as watching your 5 year old daughter reaching out in the sky during a 3D movie trying to touch the clouds racing right to her. Find those moments, store them in your emotional locker and refer to them at the moment your feeling down or in a rut or just bored at the office.

Use these tips and watch the change slowly happen. It’ll work but it takes some work so start today before it’s too late.

Just another B>U lifestyle tip.
