Smiling makes yourself happy. Feeling ‘eh, blah or even sad. Smile and see what happens. The smiley muscles sends signals to the brain that activate the warm feeling in your own soul.
Smiling makes you better looking. Who would you rather look at? A smiling person or a fussy one? That’s a rhetorical question, by the way. If you had to think about the answer then you really need a smile.
If you need a return on investment for a reason to smile then smiling can land you a better job. When walking into a job interview, make sure you wear nice clothes and a smile.
Smiling makes you laugh and laughter is good for your health. Seriously. Research shows that laughter is like a mini-workout with your abs and facial muscles. Smiling and laughter reduce stress. Improves blood flow, reduces blood sugar, improves sleep and boosts your immunity system. That’s why we recently went to a Kathy Griffin show. It was to improve our health.
And, smiling, just makes you feel good. If it’s winter and you’re stuck inside, rent a comedy movie, read a humorous book or play with the kids. So, get to it. The act of smiling and laughter is serious business, you know.
